Temporary Suspension of BBQs and Fire Pits
Following the UK Government’s announcement on 14 August 2026 regarding the very high risk of wildfires across the country, we have taken the decision that, until further notice, we will not make BBQs, fire pits or other outdoor fire equipment available for use.
The exceptionally hot and dry conditions mean that vegetation and surrounding land are particularly vulnerable to fire. Even a small flame, spark or ember has the potential to start a fire which can spread extremely quickly.
Although we appreciate that using a BBQ or fire pit can be an enjoyable part of spending time outdoors, the safety of our guests, neighbours, local community and the surrounding countryside must take priority.
We have therefore decided to follow the spirit of the Government’s advice and temporarily withdraw this equipment from use. BBQs and fire pits must also not be brought onto or used at the property during this period.
This is a temporary precaution. We will keep the position under review and will make the equipment available again when Government and fire service advice indicates that the heightened risk has passed.
We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation in helping to protect our local environment and community.
